Our Research
We work at the intersection of condensed matter physics, quantum optics, materials science, and electrical engineering to create and explore novel quantum devices built from low-dimensional materials. The unique properties of these systems arise from enhanced quantum effects and increased correlations due to reduced dimensionality. Our main focus is on two-dimensional (2D) semiconductors, which exhibit pronounced light-matter interactions and strong particle correlations. We engineer quantum states in such systems and harness these interactions to manipulate and explore exotic quantum phenomena, while developing concepts for future optoelectronic applications.
