 nResearch is increasingly computational\, data-driven\, and collaborative.
  The increasing size of digital research data that is generated or collect
 ed in almost every research project requires us to be responsible\, proact
 ive data managers. We are faced with the challenge of not only managing an
 d documenting these data but also of preserving them and making them avail
 able for reuse.\nWhile data management can sound like a lot of work for li
 ttle payoff\, managing our research data well actually yields considerable
  personal and practical benefits. Well-managed and well-described data is 
 easier to sort through\, access\, and understand\, thereby making our rese
 arch project more efficient. Good data management safeguards against data 
 loss and – increasingly important – publication retractions\, possibly
  sparing you a frustrating experience.\nThis workshop will focus on best p
 ractices for managing digital research data. If you already have specific
