Jumana Fakhar

Jumana Fakhar studied International Relations for her Bachelor's degree at the International Islamic University, Islamabad (Pakistan), and subsequently completed her Master's degree in Euroculture: Society, Politics and Culture in a Global Context as an Erasmus Mundus scholarship holder at the University of Göttingen and the University of Udine. During her Master's, she also participated in a summer school on Dissonant Heritage and European Citizenship at the University of Strasbourg. Throughout her studies, she took part in various academic activities, including a simulation on EU decision-making, a research lab titled "Imagining Europe Differently," and courses on conflict transformation and project management. In addition, she gained practical experience as a Student Advisor for the Euroculture Consortium, where she supported students with academic guidance and mentored them in project management and research skills.

Jumana Fakhar is currently pursuing her doctorate at Philipps University of Marburg. Her research focuses on the role of artificial intelligence in supporting international students. Her work brings together her expertise in European politics, climate justice, conflict studies, and cross-cultural cooperation with applied research in higher education.

  2023–2025: Erasmus-Mundus-Stipendiatin im Joint Master „Euroculture: Society, Politics and Culture in a Global Context“ an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen und der Università degli Studi di Udine. Masterarbeit zum Thema „The Weight of History: Pakistan, European Union, and the Struggle for Climate Justice“ zu Fragen von Climate Coloniality, Klimagerechtigkeit und globalen Machtasymmetrien.

  2024: Mitarbeit am interkulturellen Euroculture-Projekt The Living Kitchen. Tätigkeiten in den Bereichen Projektorganisation, Teamkoordination und interkulturelle Zusammenarbeit.

  2024: Teilnahme am Intensivprogramm „European Citizenship and Dissonant Heritage“ an der University of Strasbourg. Präsentation des Forschungsbeitrags „Reichstag: A Living Symbol of German Collective Memory“ zu Fragen kollektiver Erinnerungskultur und europäischer Identitätsbildung.

  2024: Mitarbeit als Visits Coordinator im Projekt „Brussel Model EU: Youth Shaping the Future“, Brüssel. Organisation institutioneller Besuche und politischer Bildungsformate zu europäischen Entscheidungs- und Gesetzgebungsprozessen.
