Instructions for Two-Factor Authentication with TAN Tokens
The TAN token is a paper-based list of one-time passwords, very similar to a banking TAN list.
⚠️ Important Note on TAN Tokens
Use as a Backup Method Only
Please note that the issuance of new TAN tokens has been discontinued.
- The section "Activation of the TAN Token" on this page has therefore already been removed, as no new tokens are being issued.
- You can continue to use already existing, valid TAN tokens and utilize them later as a backup method for two-factor authentication (2FA).
- For initial setup and as a primary method, we recommend using the APP Token (TOTP) or a YubiKey.
Future Deactivation: This website will be updated immediately as soon as a binding date for the complete deactivation and invalidation of all existing TAN tokens has been determined.
