Address Book
General information
Use Webmail to create personal address books and contact lists. All employee addresses are available here, in the central list of employees at Philipps-Universität Marburg. Transfer personal address books to mobile devices, export them to local mailing programs or share them with other users.
After the first login with the user name, there are two entries in the address book area, a global address book (cannot be changed by the user) and a personal address book, which you can fill. You can also create additional address books.
Instructions
Create address book
Click on the plus sign next to Address books. Then enter any address book name. Then click on OK.
Enter addresses
Then click on the green plus sign in the middle column below. Select an address book.
Then click on the green plus sign in the middle column at the bottom.
Then click on "Create new address card". You can now make the entry.
Save the address card by clicking on the floppy disk symbol at the top right.
Import addresses
You can import addresses that are in LDIF format into a SOGo address book. To do this, proceed as follows:
Click on the triple dot next to the address book. Select Import from there. Then click on Upload.
Enter the LDIF file name and confirm with Open. Vcards (= individual addresses, often as an attachment to an e-mail) can also be imported.
Share address book with other people
Click on the triple dot next to the address book and select "Shares..." (last item in the list).
In the next window, enter the e-mail address of the relevant colleague.
To make an address book accessible to other members of the university, you must assign user rights to the corresponding address book.
To do this, click on the triple dot next to the address book and select "Shares..." (last item in the list).
In the next window, enter the e-mail address of the relevant colleague.
After confirming the e-mail address, another settings window opens in which you can select the rights according to the requirements.
Click on Save to save your settings. You can also manage existing permissions here.
Subscribe to address book
Click on the plus symbol next to Subscriptions (red). Then enter the e-mail address of the relevant person (black). If the person has given you rights (see next point) to an address book, this address book name will be displayed.
You can subscribe to address books of colleagues who have a staff, student or guest account.
To do this, click on the plus symbol next to Subscriptions.
Then enter the email address of the person in question.
If the person has given you rights (see next point) to an address book, this address book name will be displayed.
If no rights have been granted, the message "No subscription possible" is displayed.
